Wow..... Bowser really is stupidly broken. His down b standard breaks shields from FULL! Or at least it broke link's from full. And it's not like he has the strongest fsmash in the game... Fully charged, it killed link at 64 percent. That is, I was hit and I had 64 percent when I died.

The key to beating bowser players is to never get hit. This technique alone completely makes bowser useless. You should work on perfecting this technique. Or use counters.

I THINK his DownB is actually made up of 2 hits, first a normal hit, then one with tons of shield damage. I think you can shield the first, then roll out of the second one... or so I've heard. If that's true, then it's kinda meh.

If that happens, there wasn't any visible hitlag. I think you are actually right about there being two hits but the timing would be very strict.

The best way to avoid it is to just get out of the way altogether since the move itself is telegraphed but it's still really stupid. I think this bowser would be much closer to perfect if more of his moves had landlag or endlag or if they were just slowed down a bit because bowser is stupid strong and fast.

Hit first Down B hit takes out 50% of your shield. The second hit breaks it but does no damage. So you can just roll away from hit 1 and punish.

Elizabeth just avoided getting title of "Worst character in the game" the second time thanks to Labrys' nerfs. Liz's DP got much better though, giving the foe Negative Penalty if it connects and not having a billion frames of endlag. Also 7 Persona cards.

Maggie on the other hand is extremely good.

So who are you folks playing as in Smash 4 so far? I'm enjoying Pac and Palutena, and will likely main Jiggs since she's decent again.

I didn't know Labrys was the bottom of the barrel in P4U. Also I've been maining a lot of Megaman, Link and WFT. I try to play everyone but those 3 are my usual choices.

The Down B in general is super obvious. Just interrupt or dodge. Just straight up blocking it is silly. It's like trying to block a up tilt from Ganon. You just don't do it. Better yet, play as a character with counters. Like Lucina for instance. Her counter is based on how strong the hit is. If Bowser is as strong as you say then, the counters would just massacre him. I myself never had real trouble with Bowser players. They are easy to figure out. But I can't really talk since I wasn't there to see your experiences for myself. Also I find this iteration of him to be the best version of him yet. I like him just the way he is and I don't even play him.

Well.... he practically is. Not to say that he doesn't have counter play of course. I'm just surprised nintendo put some ridiculously strong stuff like that. I would expect that from minus, but not any other iteration of smash.

DK was better than him. Now the two are somewhat on par

I think he's gonna be somewhat like Snake in Brawl - he's gonna start off broken-tier, but people will find ways around him and he'll fall. Not as far as say ROB did (I think...), but like Snake I think he might not be #1 even as people say he's broken now.

That said, with his new custom specials he can have one heck of a good recovery... one that actually outclasses his Minus recovery XD.

I've never really had trouble with Bowser either. Yeah he's buffed and all, but I have no trouble with him.

Japan gets it on December 6 and Europe on the 5......

Today I had the most boring match of my life. WFT vs Alph in F Zero FD. It took us forever to kill each other even with % upwards to 180 and Alph just kept rolling and going for Smashes/throws all day and I could barely do much to stop him. It's the first time I can understand the people who call it Brawl 2.0 :(

So.......
Anyone else like to use the 'listen to music while in sleep mode' function? It makes everything litteraly 97% better.
