Next release should get 2gig version and sdhc version. Maybe the full downloads contain 2gig versions and include a link to the codes with sdhc turned on.

Actually, I was the one who coded falcon changes this time. First off, I have to set the record straight. Falcon's Fastfall speed was adjusted this update. Not gravity, not fallspeed, just fastfall speed. Max Fallspeed, aka Terminal Velocity, has always been 2.

With this in mind, fastfall was increased to help Falcon out. Simply put, Fast Falling was not up to par compared to his other movements, which he needs to be the slippery, pressuring jerk that he is.

Moving on to U-Smash, let me tell you something. There are disjointed hitboxes, and then you have Falcon's U-Smash, which was the mother (father?) of all disjointed hitboxes. The first hit had an x-offset of EIGHTEEN, which equals about 3 Falcon's widths distance. This meant that you could use the move to hit people from an obscene distance, almost 1/3 of Final Destination (albeit, only the first hit would connect). I shortened the distance until both hits would connect reliably.

I can also give you the lowdown on the new Falcon Kick. Basically, the move had major issues at point blank. If you were close enough, Falcon would go THROUGH the opponent he was trying to combo. I've done my best to tweak the move so that Falcon will 'carry' the opponent alongside him, to make sure they end up in front of him so you can cancel and start your combo. To help this further, hitlag has been reduced during the multihit, giving opponents less time to DI out of it.

Finally, Falcon Punch's hitlag has indeed been reduced. This was because, in multiplayer/team matches, Falcon would catch someone with a PAUNCH, but not get to finish because of the hitlag holding him in place, which might as well be a sign that says 'KICK ME'. If we're going off of the way the move has functioned since the beginning of Smash, if you successfully land a paunch, you deserve to get all the damage it doles out. This is rudimentary when it comes to 64/Melee/VBrawl, since the move had only one hit, but in Minus, Paunch success was not 100% guaranteed. As much as I love watching people suffer, slowly and painfully, through the multi-hit, I would rather be guaranteed the move finishes than have a lengthy hitlag.
I'm OK with all of your changes to Falcon except the removal of the forward boost from Falcon Punch.

Aha... After a bit more testing, I found out that Falcon's regular fall speed has not been changed -- my mistake, sorry -- it's a change to the Falcon Punch that has made Flying Falcon Punches suicidal in 3.5...

Before 3.5, the aerial Falcon Punch stalled Falcon's aerial momentum and boosted him forward a little, at the moment the Punch fired. Thanks to that boost, you could do a short-hopped Flying Falcon Punch and recover from almost any distance on FD, as long as you started the windup immediately after jumping.

As of 3.5, that boost is gone. If you do a short-hopped Flying Falcon Punch, you'll die. You know how you can control Falcon's trajectory a bit when you reverse Falcon Punch in the air? Try doing that in 3.5 -- notice how you can make Falcon keep moving backward as the F.F.P. fires, and how your momentum is not affected. This is why I said the F.F.P. feels "slippery" now.

Please give Captain Falcon's PAWNCH back its BOOST POWER!

Light arrows have a 1/20 (5%) chance of being fired when Toon Link loads up an arrow.
I thought as much.
I haven't noticed any visual differences between Fire/Ice arrows and Light arrows, but I have noticed that sometimes his arrows sorta paralyze. So I assume that's it.

Less laggy and more desynchy on my end. I prefer them now to before, though it was possible to have good connection with someone and do matches without incident before.

I... literally cannot explain what happened with that. I actually had no idea the paunch didn't behave properly in the air; I didn't touch that part of its code. All I did was ADD forward momentum, and for some reason that took the vertical momentum away. I copied/pasted the previous version's code, and that fixed it.

That is strange... Thank you for fixing it! I will be able to Flying Falcon Punch without suiciding once again. :D

Does this mean that the Falcon Punch has been reverted to pre-3.5 status, or will it still be faster on the ground and in the air?

Would you rather they all come back, or have all of the remaining ones removed?

I'd like to see them come back, but with a few changes. It's probably the least of the devs' concerns right now, though.

Still it's weird. I don't recall ever getting an official statement from the devs addressing the disappearance of the funny win/loss animations.

I considered that a feature that should have remained.

Should be really easy then. Will you load through gecko or do you have a four gig sd card?
2 gig card and it loads through gecko. i mean, where do i put brawl- in? apps? root of sd card? its hard because ive never played mods through homebrew

Brawl- Devs, I've finished testing Version 2 of the New Footstool Triggers code. It works perfectly! In addition to the v1 Triggers, players can now use New Trigger Footstools via several new buttons: Y and R on a Gamecube controller, plus R and ZR on a Classic Controller.

I think this will be the final version of this code. You can find details about Version 2 in the thread I made for it here.

This code would probably not exist if I had never asked Glitch to make it. I hoped to get a little credit in the official codelist.
