She has counter play but odds are, whatever character you are currently maining can't beat her. The roster is so huge that you will need mains that can try to cover the entire cast, which I'm not finding remarably like able. Guess that's what you get for asking for a more balanced game.

It's not too hard to have two or three people you can switch around, but it's not like Rosalina has any 95:5s or anything.

We need a rule against YouTube videos in signatures. It took several fucking minutes to load the last two pages.

You can have your opinions if you want, Pin, but I'm free to have mine as well. I've played as and against good Rosalinas, and everything you've explained are theoreticals. As I've said, a smart player covers their weakness. You might not have played a decent Rosa yet, but even without Luma, she has some decent range, and she has more than enough ability to play keep away until Luma comes back. Just because she isn't particularly on the same level of bad as minus Rob or Brawl MK doesn't mean she isn't strong, by any means. Both she and Luma share the same strength despite being detached, and when together, they can hit together for far more damage.

Look at the big picture, not situationals.

Fine, I removed the video. And I read somewhere that Rosalina is the 2nd lightest character on the game btw.

Also I've been messing around with Miis for a few hours and they feel underpowered. Like...it feels like Miis were supposed to be better but somewhere along the line they got nerfed a bunch and now we got the current product. Brawler's side smash for example has so much lag it's ridiculous. I like using em but they feel lacking :/

So Rosalina debates aside, have you all heard about the Smash World talk? And the Amazon leak? For anyone who has not, Smash Wii U is apparently going to re-include the stage builder (Hopefully less limited than the original) and a board game mode that people are assuming is gonna be Smash World. Now earlier, someone discovered the game included P5 P6 P7 and P8 icons plus a bunch of announcer clips. My assumption is that Smash World might or might not be the board game mode but if there IS a board game mode, it'll possibly allow 8 people to play but not necessarily allow 8 people matches. Also the Master and Crazy Order modes which I think people said let you level up your character and such....can you imagine a Dokapon Kingdom board game with Smash gameplay? I shudder at the idea.

Here's a link to a Gamexplain video detailing it...can't say I'm fond of em but it's easier than looking up a bunch of links to prove what I'm talking about.

8-player makes sense considering how ungodly large stages like Palutena's Temple are, and how each character has at least 8 recolors. This would also imply that the reason Ice Climbers were causing so much hardware stress is because there would effectively be 16 characters onscreen if everyone chose them.

She's down there all right, but not second lightest. http://smashboards.com/threads/smash-4-weight-rankings.367479/

Not to say she can't defend herself, but things are sure looking down for her.
Rosalina's pretty tall, it's safe to say she looks down a lot of the time.
Oh, you.

So one guy tried to tell me Rosalina was terrible. I can't play her well, but I accidentally opened up with a 50% combo since he jumped between Rosalina and the Luma I'd launched (dtilt -> ftilt opposite direction -> repeat). Then he decided Rosalina wasn't bad. Though I'm bad so I didn't win very convincingly (then I won a bunch with a wide variety of characters).

I still don't think I'll play her. Also, did anyone here that MK can do a 40% combo via SH delay FF fair -> [they miss tech] dtilt -> dtilt -> dtilt -> whatever (because jab locks end after 3 attacks - attacking again frees them)? I'm going to try to get it down in time for the tournament this next weekend so I can put in work with MK (though it doesn't work on some of the heavier characters, like Bowser and Ganondorf).

Is anyone else surprised how heavily moves seem to stale in this game?

I knew about the MK thing but if memory serves, it only works on a few characters. And I haven't really paid attention to how much moves stale in all honesty.

I'm kinda surprised by the lack of combos in this game. Litterally the highest actual combo I did was 2 with Mega Man (dthrow into up tilt).

I can lead get up to 10 with Lucario. Jab combo/dash into upTilt into aerial madness. Your problem is probably trying to combo with the zoning/long distance character. Warios good too. You gotta test the waters a bit. Level 9 computers will strouggle out of anything possible, so I suggest testing things with them.

Miis feel lazy more than underpowered. Sword mii has so many borrowed attacks that it feels unrewarding to even bother with it, Brawler is slightly less so (and his fsmash is slow because it's actually pretty strong), and Gunner feels the most original. It bugs me that such potential got wasted.

I really like it. It's like being in a Smash store, where I'm picking apart my favorite parts of other smashers, and putting together one I think would be perfect. You can draw comparisons to almost all the custom moves. Sources like Mac and DK for Brawler, or Samus, Ness and Fox for Gunner.

Also fyte meh guld. Imma kik ur ass on the gitar.

Stop hatin gold. I likes the mii fighters.

It may be good to point out that though drastic effects from customs are banned, they may have been designed to be more necessary with mii fighters, as they have a TON of additional custom options.

Ya know, if Ness had a DJC, he'd be my 2nd main. CURSE YOU SAKURAI!
Speaking of which, anyone else use Ness (Minus or Smash 4)?

I greatly displeases me that DK is considered one of the lowest in Smash 4. I always used DK (And LOVE how good he is in Minus) and now people keep putting him at the very bottom ;__; Meanwhile Olimar is now considered to be pretty bad too :/

Did Samurai not once say he planned to make the WiiU version the competitive one? I'm probably misremembering here. I'd like it if the WiiU game has different mechanics to get all the competitive whining to stop and to make the game a little less defensively inclined. I swear anytime I play with friends, they roll all over the place and it makes the match drawn out and boring :(

I don't hate the Miis, I just think they could have been done better. It's fine and all to have specials that nod to specific chars that you can customize with, but I feel that they could have used more originality to the rest of their move sets.

And I'm up for smashing your behind, GaMeZ. Just gimme a time or something. I'll be free in like 45 mins or so once I settle in.

What was in it? Was Roy in it? Please tell me Roy was in it.
And not the one who rides the car thing so that there is no confusion over what I said. *coughTybiscough*
