    Brawl Minus 4.0b is here!

I think that changing the duration of the spring is a change so superficial that it could be considered a cosmetic change. Thus the analogy. It would be an almost purely aesthetic change. As far as I'm aware, Lavender town is only a not a starting stage. There are bans for a reason. No Melee...

    Brawl Minus 4.0b is here!

My brother is/was an arrow spamming nincompoop and none of our matches has ever slowed down to a crawl. They've slowed down a little bit as I avoid the maze of arrows, but that's just the character. There's nothing wrong with a slower match, so long as it's because we're thinking harder about...

    Brawl Minus 4.0b is here!

I'm complaining about it because the next version is supposed to be the final version. This is not the time to make seemingly superfluous changes. I don't think the character needs the nerf, as minor as it sounds. Beyond that, he can fly. And do whatever this is. Note that if Fox flies through...

    Brawl Minus 4.0b is here!

That was never my point of contention. My point is that it doesn't make sense to make useless changes for the sake of it. I would be saying the same thing if you were suggesting that every second Waddle Dee should be purple. The only thing this would remove is people saying 'what, the spring...

4.0b Aura (stuck at 1.0 knockback, 75% damage)

I thought Lucario was more fun to play with aura, but IMO he's arguably stronger this way. His moves never really stop chaining into one another, and you can just kill people off the top like normal. I hope it comes back.

Toon Link did not meaningfully change as a character when his arrows gained a timer. They used to last forever as well. Nobody who used the arrows for combos lost the ability to do that. Nobody who ran around spamming arrows stopped doing that. It became very slightly harder to stack two arrows...

I didn't say anything about nerfing the spring hitbox. I was referring to Sonic's spring-generating up-B move, which would be weakened if given a timer. I don't think reducing its lifespan would harm the character much at all, and I think it would be a pointless change.

    Brawl Minus 4.0b is here!

I disagree with you, but I apologize for being rude about it. I can't see why a move has no right to last until it is used again, so long as it doesn't provide direct disjoint. It's super predictable where the hitbox will be at all times, and both players have a choice as to whether they want...

I wasn't aware that you had never seen the move used before. It can be used to force a well-timed ledge attack or force an opponent to recover high when placed at the ledge. It can be placed under a platform to force an opponent up and over it or spend time knocking the spring out of the way to...

    Brawl Minus 4.0b is here!

Forward/back throwing someone into your spring so that you can down smash them isn't useless.

Yes, you can whack people into your spring to rack up damage. They won't die from it, and it requires Sonic to have already won neutral. It's not a projectile in any traditional sense, it's a stage hazard like Snake's mines. Or like Charizard's rocks, which can entirely coat a ledge, preventing...

    4.0b Community tier list

I feel like everyone in Minus is so capable of beating up Nana that she is irrelevant in most matches. Popo alone is playable, but IMO clearly one of the worst characters in the game. Popo is only above Bowser because Bowser is even easier to combo than Nana. I have Kirby and Jigglypuff at the...

    Brawl Minus 4.0b is here!

If you're far enough away that you have to 'go over' and hit it, you could just.... not go over to it? Other hitboxes work, jabbing is just a universally efficient example. There are plenty of hitboxes in Minus that can just ignore the thing entirely. Fox can just shine glide around the stage...

You literally just have to jab the spring. Anything that clangs with it destroys it with minimal risk to you.

It should also be noted that most ledge attacks will clang with (and destroy) Sonic's spring if timed properly. As far as I know, arrows are more complex to get around. (Though still pretty possible.)

Brawl Minus 4.0b Official Tournament ruleset!

I like the stage list! I think Spear Pillar is a perfectly fine starter, but more than 5 isn't really needed.

The Gravity of the Situation: Gravity and Minus 4.0b

Yeah, that was a bit of a flub; for some reason I thought we were talking about Minus' ridiculous hitlag. Maybe there's too much hitstun, but I don't particularly care one way or the other. Hitstun is a fine, really. Being able to SDI out of falcon punch is super weird. I'm absolutely fine with...

The Gravity of the Situation: Gravity and Minus 4.0b

Am I in the minority when I say that a 0-40% combo that requires a medium level of know-how to execute seems really... normal? I can't imagine playing Smash without the ability to combo that far. It's slightly different if it's (practically) guaranteed, but it's still fun and acceptable to me...

Can one of meta knight's taunts give him/his opponent a beam sword? If we're not giving him back the Fthrow sword, anywho. Extra points if it gives opponent(s) beam sword, but I have no clue how to make that happen. Roy could have a 'Melee mode' taunt where all of his attacks do half knockback...
