I get it with the wiimote on its own. It's weird. They seem different, but not stronger. Wouldnt it be easier to automatically set them to minus level? I use the classic controller that looks like a gc controller, and it don't work.

I misspoke earlier. I didn't mean that the game was literally built off bugs. I meant that the meta game is built around wave dashing and l canceling, things that have already been decided to be poor game design. I didn't realize things like momentum canceling were also bugs. Really?

That is what I meant. It's not that much better at all, but in there case, I do feel that the damaging footstool should be harder to do than a normal one, so the new input should just be a regular footstool IMO.

I'm really busy right now. I trying to get around to it though. Any known bugs yet? Other than Mario and luigi getting weaker footstools then possible? I feel like if this code is implemented, the devs could easily turn that into a regular footstool for the bros instead of the strong one.

Those exploits ruined melee for me. I played the game how it was meant to, so I go out in the real world and suck balls. I know people like it, but I have a hard time complimenting a game that is heavily built on bugs.
