That's great news! :) You can't even use it for that, without getting punished. It might as well be Falcon damaging himself. Is anyone else against giving Falcon's side taunt a cancel?

I recall R.O.B. and Lucario having very few disadvantaged matchups, and there's probably more I've forgotten. Anyway, just giving Falcon's side taunt a cancel isn't much of a buff. -_-; As-is, it's NEVER worth using, unless you want to get smacked in the face.

That won't be an option after May 20... :( Even if he doesn't NEED it, multiple players have said they'd like to see Side Taunt buffed. It wouldn't hurt anything, so why not! If Sonic can cancel his taunts, there's no reason Falcon shouldn't be able to. "Buffs errywhere", right? What ELSE...

A roll is slower and more predictable than a sidestep dodge, though. If Peach's F. Smash is fast enough to trump a sidestep dodge, it's gotta be even easier for it to punish a roll behind Peach...

I see no reason not to make his Side Taunt at least useable and worth using occasionally. It should at least be made cancellable. Got any tips other than to watch the replays on DukeBattleDrive? Just... Removed? But it was so fun to land! Why not just change the timing? Plus, I thought...

I say Falcon needs help against characters that can zone him hard, like R.O.B., Ivysaur, and Samus. He's one of the few characters in Minus without a projectile. Perhaps he could spawn himself a Franklin Badge if up taunt is held a while? He could say the unused, quiet "Yess" when successful...

Question: What's the best way to deal with a Peach player that spams Dash Attack -> F. Smash a lot? Sidestep dodging doesn't work, since Peach can start up another F. Smash quickly enough to hit you before it's possible to sidestep dodge again. Shielding doesn't seem to be effective either...

Any characters getting nerfed, or will there be only buffs?

Any certain time on April 22 that this will be released, or just some time that day? Will any of the improved CPU AI be ready in time for this update? Can't wait!

I'm thinking it would have to be character-specific. If a dev confirms guaranteed crowd cheering can be tied to certain combos, perhaps a separate topic should be made in which we decide on what combos are worthy of getting cheered. For Falcon, I suggest the cheer combo be Knee -> Knee ->...

Guaranteed crowd cheering after awesome (but very difficult to actually pull off) strings of attacks sounds like a perfect fit for Minus IMO.

Random idea: Could it be made so that some extra effect (like the crowd cheering) happens when Falcon lands three sweetspotted Knees in a row? Another one: How about if Falcon holds down taunt instead of tapping it, he catches on fire? This could be just a visual effect with no physical aspect...
