Default controls, tap jump off. Apparently I'm not in control of my thumbs, because I use X and Y at random to jump , and I never know which one I'm going to use at any point in time. Same goes for using A or the C-Stick for Smashes/Aerials. Also, tap jump can go die. I've learned to cope with...

At normal speed, not necessarily, but when you're at 1/4, trying to see if it's frame perfect, I think it's the best way to go.

I just tested this myself, and, there wasn't a single instance where I wasn't able to tech out. I was mashing A as Fox, and timing the tech as perfectly as I could with Bowser. Basically, as long as you tech as soon as you can, you'll be safe. I tested it initially at 1/4 speed, and then at...
