Representing the "other" Purin playstyle, I don't think uptilt and upsmash are as useless as you think. Uptilt has always comboed into Rest, since SSB64. I can land it 97% of the time, that is if I don't get uptilt shielded. Upsmash is an option I usually reserve for sliding smashes or...
