Trouble with custom character select

Hey folks,

New to modding in general but I had a good experience playing minus at a friend's house so here I am!

Anyways, I've successfully modded my Wii with the Homebrew Channel and Gecko OS. I noticed that when I loaded 3.Q though, my character select screen is a custom screen, and whenever the cursor hovers over a random block the whole thing freezes. If I can avoid it then I can load up and play the game normally, but is there any way I can just disable all of this stuff? Did I miss that FAQ or something when I was googling?

If you load through Gecko directly, go to options and change "Hooktype" to AxNextFrame...that should do it.

I actually tried that and it's still the case that whenever I hover over any of the 'random' square I'm still crashing.

Is there a way I can just disable all of the custom character select screen items? Or any other possible fixes?

Have you tried (re)formatting the card? This error is a BrawlEx problem.
