Character changing

Having a bug happen every day now where upon a match ending or going to stage selection and back people in a random character slot having their character changed to a selection they had earlier or changed to the winner's selection of character.

Not sure full process, but today someone had to keep switching to Squirtle since it pushed him to Toon Link after every match.

I believe this is a Pokémon Trainer specific bug, and it generally sets the player to Toon Link after the completion of the match (which would be consistent with what you saw). One of the devs might be able to tell you more about it, or what they are doing to fix it [I don't like it and want it fixed as well, but it's probably considered a minor problem, given that some bugs do more than inconvenience players at the Character Select Screen].
